I normally send this information with the Information Packs I send to my potential brides and grooms but thought it would be good to share this information so you can get a better understanding of what can be done to achieve some great memories without too much interference by me on the day.
- Nice clean shots are what makes a photo stand out. Unless you want busy and you have everything in there.
- Make sure that the room you are getting ready in has plenty of natural light. If you are getting ready in a hotel try and request a room that is not just made up of the bed. You want to have room to put your dress on and as well has some nice shots of your bridal party without feeling cramped.

- Have your jewellery, shoes, perfume, and anything else you want to have remembered for the day kept all together and ready for me when I arrive. The less I have to bug you the better :)

- See if you can have your bridesmaids in matching dressing gowns. They will look amazing in photos and they are a nice gift for your special girls.
- Hair and make up trial is a must. Means you will have an idea of what needs to be changed before the big day.
- Eat!!! Most importantly eat something. Make sure there is a platter of food while getting ready as you do not want to get to your ceremony and realise that you have only eaten breakfast!
- Parents can generally be more nervous than the bride and groom. Give them a little job throughout the day so they are occupied and they feel like they have contributed.
- Have an emergency kit with you - nail polish, band aids, sewing kits, deodorant, pain killers.
- Always allow for double the time you anticipated for getting ready as you just do not know what could happen throughout the morning. Hair may not curl properly, traffic delays, even a difficult dress to get into or putting your shoes on may take longer with longer nails. I will leave about 20 mins before the bride to set up at the ceremony and take some pre-ceremony shots. However if time works out of us we can use that to get photos with your parents before the ceremony.

- Spray tans...you do not want to look orange on your special day. If you are to get a spray tan please make sure that the colour is correct. There is only so much editing I can do to make you less orange.
- Lastly there is nothing wrong with adding some pop into your dress. Add some different coloured shoes, or jewellery. Even one for the boys is to get them to wear different colour socks.

So whether your wedding is next week or next year just remember to keep these all in mind when your wedding day has arrived. They day will fly so fast and you do not want your photographer to miss the important moments while trying to get a room tidy.
